Michelle offers a safe, collaborative and non-judgmental counseling environment to help with processing life events, relational issues, and ways of thinking & responding to the world that are limiting life fulfillment and heart peace. She encourages clients to draw on God's grace and strength in their lives. She empowers clients by equipping them with practical tools and strategies. Michelle enjoys helping people find freedom from their fears, relief from the effects of trauma, and a greater sense of peace in their lives as they find the strength to discover their purpose and live out their dreams.
Michelle's specialties include interventions for: anxiety, depression, adjustment to life events, crisis counseling, trauma, relationship counseling, family counseling, stress management, life transitions, self understanding, self worth, finding direction and meaning.
Michelle is a Prepare-Enrich pre-marital/marital facilitator. Heart Peace Counseling Center can provide Volusia county certificates of pre-marital counseling completion to meet criteria for a discount off marriage licenses for Florida residents residing in Volusia county.
Michelle has completed Elijah House Prayer Counseling training and Theophostic prayer counseling training.
Michelle has spoken at various Christian retreats, seminars and community events. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), Florida Association of Mental Health Counselors, and a member of FL-DMAT 6 (Disaster Medical Assistance Team - Mental Health Specialist).
Michelle is a worshipper at heart as well as a counselor. She loves Jesus, her family, people, pets, music, playing drums/percussion, volunteering, reading, writing, and humor. She believes that all of these things contribute to well being and mental health which leads to wholeness, peace and life fulfillment.
