What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a positive, forward thinking, dynamic option for moving forward in your life. A life coach is someone who helps you to set goals to make changes in your life to experience greater success, sense of purpose, and overall satisfaction in life. Most life coaching clients are already generally healthy and successful people who might feel stagnant and want to move forward in an area of life with the support of a coach.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is the most effective evidence-based psychotherapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It works on the way memories are stored in the brain to engage our brain’s natural healing system. EMDR has proven successful & beneficial not only for combat veterans, but also for those struggling with other traumas, anxiety, and mental health problems. EMDR is an 8 phased standardized set of procedures which incorporates dual focus of attention and alternating bilateral visual, auditory or tactile stimulation. EMDR targets past experience, current triggers, and future potential challenges, resulting in the alleviation of presenting symptoms, a decrease or elimination of distress from the disturbing memory, improved view of the self, God, and others, relief from bodily disturbance, and resolution of present and future anticipated triggers. ("Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Rom 12:2) EMDR is an option when traditional therapies have been ineffective.
