Shawneece Hunt is a mental health counseling graduate student at Palm Beach Atlantic University where Christ is the center of education. She has joined the Heart Peace team with a passion for cultivating healthy relationships between husband and wife, mother and father, siblings, families or friends through effective counseling, helping clients set and maintain healthy boundaries when necessary. Her focus is providing a space for you to be heard, while helping you rediscover who you are through a person-centered approach to therapy.

Through Shawneece's approach to therapy, you will find opportunity to unlock the gifts that are placed deep inside. As a wife of 27 years, and a mother of two beautiful daughters, Shawneece understands the challenges and difficulties of cultivating a healthy family environment. Shawneece brings her deep and grounding faith background to providing a Christ-centered approach to healing, growth and restoration. Her heart is to be a liaison in restoring individuals and shattered homes, one family at a time, from the effects of being torn apart by separation or divorce.

Shawneece also has a heart to help individuals who feel "stuck" in life to discover possibilities for moving forward building on each client's own unique gifting, experience and strength. Shawneece helps clients heal from past hurts, overcome anxiety, better manage stress and adjust to life's challenges by providing tools and steps forward to a more empowered and thriving future.

EXPERIENCE

Shawneece is a proven motivated leader, life coach, counselor and problem solver with a bachelor degree in psychology and a minor in human services. My passion for people was discovered while being an entrepreneur for over 24 years working with clients, where I learned to listen to the needs of others. “Sometimes you only get one chance at making a difference” and Shawneece never took those opportunities lightly. She is trustworthy and intentional about meeting people where they are and supporting them on their journey to healing. Living your best life with joy, peace and purpose is what Shawneece desires for those she encounters.

University of Central Florida Graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and minor in Human Services

Current second year master level student at Palm Beach Atlantic University with a concentration in Marriage and Family

A member of AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy) and ACA (American Counseling Association).

Shawneece has been married to her high school sweetheart for 27 years, and is also the proud mother of two beautiful daughters.
