Solimar is a master’s level mental health counselor seeking licensure with the state of Florida. She is passionate about helping people find their voice and a true sense of identity. She strives to walk along with her clients with compassion and humility.
For the last 10 years, Solimar has been helping women hurt by infidelity, pornography and sexual addiction in their marriages. For wives who have been betrayed, life has been turned upside down. Sexual betrayal has left you shattered into pieces, out of control, like you are about to lose your mind. You feel confused and afraid about your future. You feel overwhelmed by feelings of rage, shame and loneliness. You wonder: What now? Do I stay or leave this relationship? Where do I go from here? Having been there myself, I understand the struggle.
For others, maybe your early years were tarnished by sexual abuse. You ask yourself: Is it worth facing the pain you have kept hidden during years? You desperately want to regain a sense of self-control, safety and “peace amidst the storm”. You long to be seen and heard, to trust again, and to feel loved and valued. To you, I want to say, I’m so sorry. Your story and your pain really matter.
And yet others, feel “stuck” in life. Depression, anxiety, anger, grief, divorce, relationship issues and life transitions can really hold us back. I hear you. Life can be really difficult. I want you to know: You don’t have to do it alone.
I will be honored to walk by your side as you wrestle with life, untangle whatever is going on, and make critical decisions. I will work collaboratively with you in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I am committed to provide you skills that will help navigate life’s challenges and hurts with a renewed sense of purpose.
As we walk together, I will help maximize your existing potential and strengths. You can rewrite your story with new meaning and hope!
My areas of clinical interest are women’s issues, codependency, sexual abuse and trauma, anxiety and depression.
